The real price, before you pay.
Most currency apps quote the mid-market rate — the number you only get if your card adds no fees. Trupence shows what a foreign price will really cost on the cards you actually carry. Point your camera at a price tag, tap to capture, and see the honest total in your home currency.
- Scan any price. Camera + on-device OCR reads price tags, menus and receipts. Nothing is uploaded.
- Your real card fees. Add the cards you carry — Wise, Revolut, Monzo, Amex and more — and see what each would land on your statement.
- The DCC shield. When a terminal asks "pay in your home currency?", Trupence reminds you to decline — that trap quietly costs around 5%.
- Best-card pick. Your cards, ranked cheapest-first for the exact price in front of you.
- Trips & spending. Budget a trip, log purchases in a tap, export everything to CSV.
- Offline & private. Rates cached for roaming-off travel. No account, no analytics, no ads — your data stays on your device.

About the studio
DagdaForge is a one-person studio based in Scotland, named for the Dagda — the great craftsman of Irish myth, keeper of a cauldron that never ran empty. We like the idea: build things generously, and build them well.
Every DagdaForge app follows the same few rules. They're not a manifesto, just how we'd want software made for us.
- Private by default. Your data lives on your device. We don't run servers that hold it, because we don't collect it.
- No ads, no tracking. Not now, not "anonymised", not ever.
- Honest numbers. If a figure is an estimate, it's labelled as one.
- Small and sharp. One job per app, done properly, working offline where it matters.
